This is our crazy new (but really old) place!

It has all these old weird things that we just fell in love with!

I’m still swimming in boxes, have severe decor-itis and even though some pieces of furniture didn’t fit in old stairwells and doorways… moving to this charming place was worth it.

These adorable girls matched my art!

And of course there was lots of crafty silliness

For my birthday this year I got to go see Mucca Pazza. IT. WAS. THE. BEST. CONCERT. EVER!

For weeks all I couldn’t find non crazy person sounding words to describe the experience  so I ran around with a video ready for everyone who asked what mucca pazza was. lol

It’s like a weird marching band…no, no scratch that image of  sports games and the macy’s day parade. Imagine the craziest, bazaarest light show dance party, now add trombones and tubas. No, no its better.

I’m super excited about this saturday, Twisted and I will be at the Soulard arts and crafts show…

Music, art, food, fun and my crafty friends. I can’t wait! Yep, if you’re in the hood you shouldn’t miss it (ps I made this poster all by myself! it’s weird to see it hanging up around town, lol)

recently, the fam fixed up my mom’s back yard and planted lots of green, leafy things. Every year mom grows fun herbs and later makes yummy things with them

I was particularly excited to help out this year because with our new move comin up , we will actually have a back yard and I want to try a garden! So this was good practice. lol.

and a fun diy vertical planter made out of shoe organizers!

but the nerd in my really wants to try a window farm…

creating hand drawn table wear has been on my project wish list ever since I fell in love with studio violet‘s quirky cute dishes. I’m kind of addicted to table wear, but after packing up what seemed to be a bazillion boxes of dishes, I now have to close my eyes and run away when ever I see a cute set for sale

I ran across a beautiful indie portland store Makool Loves You and found these adorable hand drawn cups which have inspired me to take some of  my dishes and decorate them with my own designs.

Renest offers a simple tutorial and soon I hope to give it a go! I’ll keep you posted on the results. Pictures my be limited though, if it turns out to be a big disaster, lol

She puts together trendy vintage outfits and sells them on ebay. I’m so in love with her style I tried to convince the dude that I could collect vintage clothes and when I didn’t want them any more I would sell them! It was a great idea until he reminded me I would probably never want to sell the clothes I find. True, I’d probably keep them until the 90′s are back in style… again…. for the third time

The dude and I investigated this really really old and beautiful (and kinda spooky!) house and barn. The city wants to knock them down for a park but I really wish they could be TLC’d and stay forever.

my partner in vintage and crafty crime courtney showed me the motherload of all treasure hunting. We giggled, ooo’d, awe’d, and dug our way through the Belleville flea market all day Saturday and I raved about it so, the dude begged me to take him Sunday Some of my finds were a cute plastic light up santa, a 1963 copy of LIFE featuring Steve McQueen, a framed set of vintage Florida postcards, and several retrotastic beer coasters. Total damage, 8 buck-a-roos. Yep, I’m in love with the belleville flea market

I saw this adorable vintage skirt and had to get it. With spring here I’ve got  new wardrobe fever and I’ve been quelling all my urges to spring fling my money by digging in my own closet for crazy new outfits (watch out!). But this skirt has super spin power and I couldn’t pass it up

the open road, walkie talkie call names, singing silly songs, cars breaking down, kitties running around in the back seat, tumbleweeds, exploring new places…oh yes tons of fun

This was my first trip to beautiful colorado and it was sooo gorgeous! mountains, snow, dusty towns, teepees, micro breweries, more mountains…it’s a lovely place.

I guess you can say I got bit by the colorado bug I hope to go back soon!

I shared a booth with Twisted Handmade and we giggled…a lot!
